Friday- Sunday, May 1-3.  League of American Bicyclists' League Cycling Instructor Seminar.  Prerequisite:  Traffic Skills 101 class.

 

Thursday, May 7^th. 5:30 pm Bike Hop

Meet at Tower Velo at 1435 North Van Ness Avenue in Fresno (south of McKinley, north of Home) for an evening tour of local Art Galleries. This is being held in conjunction with Art Hop (1^st Thursday of every month). Admission to galleries is free. Look for bicycle related art. Wear a helmet and be illuminated!

 

Thursday, May 7^th. 8:30 am. Fresno City Council

Fresno City Hall, downtown Fresno

Come to hear the Fresno City Council proclaim May as Bike Month in the City of Fresno.

 

Monday, May 11^th. 7:00 pm. Clovis City Council

Council room, Clovis City Hall, 1033 5^th Street, just east of Clovis Ave.

Come to hear the Clovis City Council proclaim May as Bike Month in the City of Clovis.

 

Tuesday, May 12^th. 9:00 am. Fresno County Board of Supervisors

1133 Tulare Street, Room 301, Hall of Records, Fresno

Come hear the Board proclaim May as Bike Month in the County of Fresno. The FCBC will accept the proclamation on behalf of all cyclists in the county.

 

Wednesday, May 13^th.  8th Annual Bike Week Downtown Ride

Meet at Manchester Center near the Fresno Area Express (FAX) site on Blackstone at 7:45 for an 8:30 group ride to downtown Fresno. Clovis riders, meet at the rest stop on the Old Town Clovis trail (near Ashlan Avenue and Clovis Avenue) at 7:00 am for a group ride to Manchester Center to meet other cyclists. From Manchester Center we will be escorted by the Fresno PD Bike Cops. Free refreshments will be provided on the Fulton Mall. Then head off to work. Tell your friends.

Thursday, May 14^th. 4^th Annual FCBC Corporate Challenge.

See the Coalition Web site for details.  Enlist your coworkers… there’s time to map out routes and train. There'll be Energy Stations in Fresno and Clovis. Thursday, May 14^th. Fresno Area Express (FAX) and Clovis Transit

FAX and Clovis Transit will provide bicyclists with free rides all day. Ride your bike and get a free bus ride!

Friday, May 22nd.  Member's Appreciation Event.  See a bicycle classic and eat some pizza at Tower Velo.  Not a member? Become one at www.fresnobike.org or join at the door. RSVP to info@fresnobike.org 

Saturday, May 30th.  Annual Winery Ride.  Visit Englemann Cellars and Nonini Winery for a bacchanalian bike treat.  Meet at Tower Velo at 10:30 for an 11:00 departure. Round trip is approximately 22 miles.
